Incidents

The majority of incidents attended by the volunteers of Skye MRT occur in The Cuillin or on the Trotternish Ridge. All incidents are controlled by Police Scotland.

The Cuillin is a range of rocky mountains known the UK’s most challenging range. The highest peak, Sgurr Alasdair is 3, 254.59 feet or 992m.

The Trotternish Ridge is one of the finest ridge traverses in the British Isles with spectacular views including The Old Man of Storr and The Quiraing.

We also participate in land searches and frequently work with HM Coastguard on a variety of SAR operations.
