Call Outs/Incidents 2015

2015 saw the team called to 53 incidents which covered 2,935 man-hours altogether. There appears to be an increasing number of callouts to relatively low level locations such as the Fairy Pools and the path to the Old Man of Storr which are increasingly popular tourist destinations. It is important that visitors to the island remember that even short low-level walks require them to be properly equipped, clothed and adequately shod for the terrain encountered; even low level paths can be quite rough and sometimes have significant drops to the side.
